R+L Carriers Opens New North Carolina Service Center
12/4/2023 Wilmington, Ohio Ohio-based transportation company R+L Carriers is pleased to announce the opening of a new service center in Greensboro, North Carolina. This new facility joins the China Grove (Charlotte), Lumberton and Wilson locations, becoming the companys fourth service center in the state.
The Greensboro service center is located at 811 Chimney Rock Court, next to the interchange of Interstate 73, Interstate 40 and the newly finished Interstate 840. It contains 70 dock doors, a five-bay maintenance facility, over 6,000 square feet of office space and sits on 9.5 acres of land. This location also employs over 80 R+L Carriers employees ranging from drivers, to dock workers, to office staff. As the companys northernmost service center in the state, Greensboro can accommodate markets far from R+L Carriers terminals in Wilson and China Grove.
The Greensboro service center advantageous location will serve as an important transfer point on the eastern seaboard, said Greg Bronner, R+L Carriers VP of Marketing and Business Critical Sales. Greensboro operations can also meet the needs of local businesses in Winston-Salem, High Point, Thomasville, Archdale, Asheboro, Lexington, Kernersville, Burlington, Stokesdale, Randleman, Rural Hall, Whitsett, Graham and Reidsville.
This addition to the R+L Carriers nationwide network will increase customer proximity and improve operational flexibility to meet industry demand. With each new service center, the company advances its long-term business objectives, maximizing volume while maintaining on-time, above standard transit times.
