R+L Carriers Opens New South Carolina Service Center
10/28/2024 - Wilmington, Ohio - Ohio-based transportation company R+L Carriers is pleased to announce the opening of a new service center in Piedmont, South Carolina. This facility will replace operations at the Greenville location, utilizing updated infrastructure and additional amenities to better service local and regional customers.
The Piedmont service center (GRE) is located at 580 Shackelford Road with easy access to Interstate 85. It contains a substantial 216 dock doors, two-bay maintenance shop, three-lane fuel island and 9,500 square feet of office space. Piedmont's facility is the company's latest service center in the state, joining the Columbia and Yemassee terminals for a total of three South Carolina service centers.

"The facility's operations will extend to local customers in Piedmont, along with regional markets in Greenville, Rock Hill, Greer and Spartanburg, as well as other municipalities. In addition to its value as an intrastate shipping hub, the site's proximity to Georgia and North Carolina makes it a valuable resource for interstate commerce. The Piedmont location currently employs over 200 personnel, including drivers, freight handlers, mechanics, customer service, sales staff and several other positions."
